Dreampaw padded to Sparrowleaf's den, hoping that Cloudpaw would be fine. Dreampaw mewed welcome as she waited at the entrance. She couldn't see in because it was covered by ivy leaves. Sparrowleaf's head came out and he beckoned her in.
"Cloudpaw's doing fine, though he training will be delayed a while."
Dreampaw's eyes filled with worry.
"For how long? Will he ever be right again?"
Sparrowleaf rolled his eyes.
"What, are you his mother?"
Sparrowleaf purred.
"Sorry. Yes, he will be right and healthy again, but I don't know how long that will take. And no, he is not awake."
Dreampaw sighed in fustration. Sparrowleaf purred and told her to come back tomorrow. Dreampaw nodded, and padded back into the sunlit clearing. Dreampaw squinted her eyes as she searched for Miststar. Miststar! What an honour! Dreampaw purred and decided to just go check her den.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dreampaw stopped in front of the entrance to Miststar's den. Dreampaw took a deep breath and mewed a greeting, well technically squeaked it. Dreampaw hoped Miststar had heard her from behind the moss. Miststar padded out and greeted Dreampaw.
"Hello, have you come to train?"
Dreampaw nodded excitedly.
"Good, because first off we are going to take a little adventure. Get Eaglepaw and Robinstep, I need them also."
Dreampaw nodded and started to pad away, when she stopped.
"Do you need Wolffeather and Skypaw?"
Miststar shook her head.
"Not today, they can come with me when Cloudpaw is better."
Dreampaw nodded then went to get the apprentice and warrior.
-----------------------------------------------------
Dreampaw was panting as she came back with Eaglepaw and Robinstep. She had checked all over the camp, then had gotten lost in the forest. But she had finally found them at the training hollow, before it was even sun-high. Miststar nodded at the three cats, and beckoned them to follow her. Dreampaw staggered after Eaglepaw, trying to keep up.
"Come on, we need to speak with Sparrowleaf."
Dreampaw's eyes filled with confusion, but she scampered to the entrance of the den anyways. Miststar had already padded in, and was coming back out with four herb bundles. She set them down.
"All three of you, eat these, they won't taste the best, but they will keep your appetite down. I just need to get Sandpelt, then we'll leave."
Dreampaw nodded and took a bite from the herb bundle. She instantly recoiled and licked her lips, trying to get the horrible taste off of her tongue. Dreampaw closed her eyes, and wrinkled her nose as she took another bite. Soon, after a few bites she was done. She looked at Eaglepaw to see that Eaglepaw was finished, but still wrinkling her nose. Dreampaw purred.
"What? Not taste so good Eaglepaw?"
Eaglepaw smiled, mischief glinting in her eyes. Then, Eaglepaw leaped onto Dreampaw.
"I don't know, why don't we see how you like a second batch!"
Dreampaw laughed and easily pushed Eaglepaw off of her. Robinstep purred and stood up as she saw Miststar coming back with Sandpelt. Sandpelt easily ate the herbs and sat back down, licking his lips.
"Okay, let's go. I'll tell the apprentices where we're going on the way there."
Sandpelt and Robinstep nodded, and started to walk to the entrance. Miststar smiled at the apprentices.
"Coming?"
Eaglepaw nodded and ran after her mentor, but Dreampaw waited.
"Don't you need a herb bundle?"
Miststar shook her head.
"Only you four, not me."
Dreampaw nodded, and walked to the entrance with Miststar.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dreampaw scented the air as they traveled through the territory, going to the border with SandClan. Miststar sniffed the air then crossed the border, Robinstep, Sandpelt and Eaglepaw following, but Eaglepaw had hesitated. Dreampaw took a cautious step over the border. She didn't know why the leader was breaking the Warrior Code, but she would do what Miststar told her to do. Dreampaw sighed as nothing happened, and ran to catch up with the patrol.
Miststar sniffed the air and continued to pad on. Soon they were out of MarshClan's territory, and in to unknown territory. Dreampaw had sighed as they left the rival clan's territory, she hadn't wanted to be spotted, and was thankful for her dark fur. They had traveled for a long time in the unknown territory, when Miststar stopped and faced the cats.
"Are you hungry yet? Cause we're almost there, and you can hunt now if you want."
Dreampaw nodded, and suddenly realized that she was hungry. The herbs had worn off long ago, and she was glad she was able to hunt. Before Dreampaw followed Robinstep, Sandpelt and Eaglepaw into the bushes, she stopped and looked ahead. It looked like there was a Thunderpath, it didn't look too large, but she could be mistaken. The sun was starting to go down, so Dreampaw bounded off to hunt, catching a fish in a near by river. Dreampaw took ravenous bites out of the fish, and finished in a few seconds. After she was done, she padded back to where Miststar was, Robinstep and Sandpelt were waiting. Dreampaw sat down and waited for Eaglepaw to come back, and didn't have to wait long as Eaglepaw bounded out of the bushes. She smiled, and they set off again.
----------------------------------------------------------
Dreampaw's eyes widened as they approached the thunderpath. There was a small thunderpath beside LakeClan territory, but it was rarely used. Miststar nodded for Robinstep to go first, cause it was quite busy. Robinstep waited for the roaring to stop, before she bolted across. Sandpelt did the same. Next was Eaglepaw. Eaglepaw cowered beside the thunderpath, waiting for the roaring to quiet down. She looked both ways, and bolted across, flinging herself onto the other side, panting in fright as another monster came by. Dreampaw closed her eyes at the fur around her face was flung back by passing monster's. When she heard the sounds stop, she opened her eyes and hesitated, only to feel a small nudge from Miststar. Dreampaw took a deep breath, and ran across, she was almost to the other side when she heard the roaring start up again. She looked to her left, to see a monster approaching very fast. Dreampaw's eyes widened, and she tried to force her legs to go faster. it felt like an eternity had passed as she tried to make it to the other side. Sandpelt yowled to Dreampaw as the monster approached her. He darted out and grabbed her scruff, and pulled her to the other side, just as the monster whizzed past. Dreampaw fell to the hot sticky ground beside the grass, panting and murmuring a thanks to Sandpelt. dreampaw stood up shakily, making sure nothing was broken. Dreampaw took a step forward and stumbled a bit, but regained herself. She looked at her shoulder to see that it was skimmed and slightly bleeding. Dreampaw sighed, and gave it a good lick before fumbling onto the cool grass.
Then Dreampaw felt a rush of air as Miststar stopped beside her.
"Dreampaw, Sandpelt. Are you okay?"
Sandpelt nodded. Dreampaw nodded, but winced.
"Just scraped my shoulder a bit, but I'll be fine."
Miststar's eyes filled with concern, but she nodded.
"We better hurry. The moon's going to be up soon, and I want to get there."
Robinstep and Sandpelt nodded and followed Miststar into the darkness. Eaglepaw padded up to dreampaw and licked her shoulder, then they followed the warriors, hoping to be at their destination soon.
